The Baccae – tragedy of all tragedies is situated in the archaic spaces of the theatre factory Kampnagel in Hamburg. In front of old and patinated industrial walls an antique „scena“ is rebuilt, offering a perfect platform for the contrary arguments of king Pentheus and his antagonist Baccus about the truth or lack of God. The production was proud to be invited to the city of Prishtina in Kosovo, which in 2004 just recently had come to peace, and to be performed at the international „Kosovo Infest“.

Die Bakchen – die Urtragödie aller Tragödien spielt in den archaischen Räumen der Theaterfabrik Kampnagel Hamburg. Direkt vor einer alten Industriemauer erstreckt sich das Ebenbild einer antiken „Scena“. In strenger Textreue und intensiver, sprachlicher Chorarbeit entfaltet sich der Schlagabtausch zwischen König Pentheus und seinem Widersacher Bachus über Gott und Gottlosigkeit. Unser Team war stolz, im Herbst 2004 mit der Produktion in das gerade befriedete Prishtina zum Theaterfestival „Kosovo Infest“ eingeladen zu werden.
