João Sebastião

João Sebastião erhielt zunächst Gesangsunterricht im Gregorianischen Institut Lissabon. Er studierte am Nationalkonservatorium von Lissabon und am Conservatorium van Amsterdam und erhielt auch Unterricht bei Richard Miller, Noelle Barker, Peter Harvey und Jill Feldman. Er arbeitete mit dem Collegium Vocale Gent, Consort Vocale Berlin und Nederlands Kamerkoor. Als Solist sang er u.a. „Der Messias“ (Händel), diverse Kantaten, das Magnificat und die Johannesassion (Bach), „L’Enfance du Christ“ (Berlioz), sowie die Opernpartien Acis (Acis&Galatea), Bastien (Bastien und Bastienne), Basilio (Nozze di Figaro), Don Ottavio (Don Giovanni), Spoletta (Tosca) und Abdallo (Nabucco).
