The Baritone, Titus Witt, began his musical education in childhood, and in addition to studying piano and violin, was a member of the boy’s choir St. Michaelis in his hometown of Hamburg, with vocal training from Dieter Soltau. Mr. Witt studied vocal performance at the conservatory of the arts in Bremen with the Chamber Singer Mihai Zamfir. Furthermore, the baritone expanded his studies through master classes with Robert Holl, Chamber Singer Hilde Zadek and Konstantin Poustovoj (Bolshoi Moscow), among others. He received special artistic impulses from well-known personalities such as John Shirley-Quirk, Andreas Schmidt and Thomas Quasthoff within the framework of the International Bach Academy in Stuttgart under the direction of Helmut Rilling. Already as a student, the baritone developed an active concert schedule in both Germany and abroad (St. Petersburg, Lyon, Dohnány-Synagaogue Budapest, Krakow Philharmonic). He has compiled an extensive Lied and Oratorio repertoire with works from Schütz, Bach, Telemann, among others, and 20th century music. Titus Witt has participated various live recordings during live radio broadcasts, as a concert soloist, and in CD productions. Since 1997 the Bariton Titus Witt sings in concert and opera-productions.
Der Bariton Titus Witt begann seine musikalische Ausbildung bereits im Kindesalter neben Violin - und Klavierunterricht als Mitglied im Knabenchor St. Michaelis seiner Heimatstadt Hamburg mit Stimmbildung bei Dieter Soltau. Titus Witt studierte an der Hochschule für Künste in Bremen bei Ks. Mihai Zamfir Gesang. Darüber hinaus bildete sich der Bariton durch Meisterkurse u.a. bei Robert Holl, Ks. Hilde Zadek und Konstantin Poustovoj (Bolschoi Moskau) fort. Besondere künstlerische Impulse erhielt Titus Witt von so bekannten Sängerpersönlichkeiten wie John Shirley-Quirk, Andreas Schmidt und Thomas Quasthoff im Rahmen der Internationalen Bachakademie in Stuttgart unter der Leitung von Helmut Rilling. Bereits während des Studiums entwickelte der Bariton Titus Witt eine rege Konzerttätigkeit im In und Ausland (St.Petersburg, Lyon, Dohnány-Synagoge Budapest, Philharmonie Krakau). Er erarbeitete sich ein umfangreiches Lied- und Oratorienrepertoire von den Werken Schütz, Bach, Telemann u.a. bis hin zur Moderne und hat an verschiedenen Live-Übertragungen im Hörfunk als Konzert-Solist und an CD-Produktionen mitgewirkt. Seit 1997 ist der Bariton Titus Witt mit Liederabenden, Konzerten und in Opernproduktionen freischaffend tätig.
